Historic Hudson Valley’s Pirates of the Hudson 2011, Pirates of the Hudson: The Siege of Sleepy Hollow is a raucously fun pirate festival for all ages. Gangs of musical pirates, gypsy sword dancers, and scally-wags of all sorts roam the grounds, performing and interacting with visitors. Kids took part in treasure hunts and wandered through an old shipwreck, Mr. Grymm’s museum of Oddities, sword fights, gypsies, tattoo shoppes, cannons firing and much, much more. Pirates of the Hudson will return in 2012! A cuppa Captain Lawrence! Enjoy a pint or two of beer from Pleasantville’s Captain Lawrence Brewery and munch your way through the pirate-palate-pleasing creations of Tastefully Yours. A mother lode of pirate pleasing activity… Learn to sword fight • Explore a shipwreck • Listen to live pirate bands • Gawk at the Museum of Oddities • Meet the captured mermaid • And get ready to take the ultimate plunge…to Davy Jones’ Locker! Shop the Thieves Market Get your paws on exclusive Pirates of the Hudson booty including t-shirts, mugs, place mats, postcards, and magnets. PLUS, pirate note cards, wicked pirate journals, pirate topper pencils, cannon key chains, parrot stuffed animals, map in bottle puzzles, pirate figurines, and much more.
