Metal Detecting on the Beach, Exmouth UK

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to search a UK beach with a metal detector? Well join me at a hot-spot on my local beach for a 2 hour hunt. See all the finds, good and bad, as they are found. An amazing gold ring shows up among the goodies during this search.

  8. Went prospecting in the bush with a metal detector last month. I found something really big! I was wandering around for a couple of days and not getting anything, found an old tin can. After another couple of days the siren went off real loud and told me something metal was under the ground. I dug away the dirt and guess what I found at the bottom of the hole – a buried metal detector!

  10. Nicely produced video, very interesting. Just wondering, do the quality and quantity of finds vary on different types of beaches, i.e. sand, shingle, rocky shore?

  18. @bluehock24 Go to the park. Try soccer, football and baseball fields. You’ll find lots of loonies and toonies very near the surface. When you search the field, go slowly back and forth and go slowly to make sure you don’t miss a spot. You’ll also find a lot of pennies, but when you hit loonies and toonies it makes it worth it. You might also find some gold and silver rings. Try to find old fairgrounds in your area. You’ll get silver coins there. Check the woods in parks (for old coins)

  25. Hi,good video, thanks for posting this ! Im thinking of getting a Metal Detector.I know that to use a metal detector on land (e.g. a field) you need the landowners permission, what about the beaches in the UK ?,…are most of them public beaches where anyone can just turn up?Hope to hear from you soon, happy hunting !
