  14. ships like the titanic are so far down, that scans can’t detect them with enough resolution to say they are ships, so you have to manually look at every bump on the map and hope that’s it. As for most wrecks of old ships, given that they are made of wood that has mostly rotted away. A wreck will mostly be bits and pieces lying on the ocean floor, That only after careful examination can they piece together what it was.
