Vlog – Metal Detector Finds 20 Gold Coins

www.treasurebone.blogspot.com Mark Nicholson was metal detecting private land with permission of Mr. Richard Stocks, the land owner. Nicholson said “I got a strange signal which turned out to be a jam jar lid.” Nicholson said he rechecked the whole and received another signal and upon digging deeper discovered a clump of coins. Nicholson said “They looked as if they must have been in a bag or something like that,” In all there were 20 gold coins, dating from the reigns of Charles I to Queen Victoria. Being that the coins were of a very wide date range and were all high grade, authorities believe these coins to be stolen from a collection and not a hoard. Authorities speculate they must have been stolen sometime between 1878 (the latest date on any of the coins) and the present. Their powers of deduction are truly awe inspiring. Sherlock Holmes much anyone??? Norfolk coroner William Armstrong said “The British Museum has specifically asked me to open and adjourn an inquest for the sole purpose of asking the public through the good offices of the media if anyone has any information which may throw light on this matter.” and has adjourned the inquest until Sept. 19th to allow any response from those who may have information about these coins.
